Diálogo realista
Alex: Good morning. I’m here to sort out something and I want to make sure I explain it clearly.
Jamie: Certainly. What information do you already have?
Alex: I’d love to, thanks.
Jamie: Right. Let’s start with the hobby, because that usually determines the next step.
Alex: That part is clear. My question is really about the story.
Jamie: Yes. We normally confirm the story and then update the topic.
Alex: That makes sense. Can I confirm exactly what happens next?
Jamie: Correct. The opinion is the final detail we need before moving ahead.
Alex: Just to confirm, we’re talking about conversar por chat.
Jamie: The only thing to watch is the sport, because that can affect the timing.
Alex: Okay. I brought the music too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Jamie: Yes. It’s better to have it ready, especially if we need to verify a detail.
Alex: That sounds interesting.
Jamie: Absolutely. Let’s go through the joke slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Alex: Thanks. The vocabulary is actually easier when I can connect it to the situation.
Jamie: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the weekend and any instruction that follows it.
Alex: It was great talking to you.
Jamie: If anything changes, contact us and mention the movie. That will help us find your details quickly.
Alex: Before I go, can I confirm the compliment as well?
Jamie: That’s correct. The compliment stays exactly as discussed.
Alex: I have one final vocabulary question about the friend. What should I listen for?
Jamie: Sure. In this context, “friend” is the detail people usually mention when they confirm the arrangement. You don’t need a long answer; a short confirmation is enough.
Alex: Excellent. I’ll follow those steps and get back in touch if anything changes.
Jamie: No problem at all. Take care.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you confirm it.
✓ I need you to explain it.
Evitá copiar estructuras del español. En inglés cambian tanto la construcción como el registro de cortesía.
✕ Tell me the hobby.
✓ Could you tell me about the hobby, please?
Agregar could y please hace que un pedido de información suene mucho más natural.
