I’m really into…
I’m here because I need help with hablar en un cumpleaños.
What have you been up to lately?
What brings you here tonight?
We should do this again sometime.
It was great talking to you.
That sounds interesting.
I’m afraid I can’t make it.
Could you walk me through that step?
Could you write that down for me?
Who should I contact if I have another question?
Could we confirm the exact time and date?
Is there a deadline I should know about?
Diálogo realista
Alex: Hi there. I need some help with this situation and I have the main information with me.
Jamie: Sure. What would you like to check first?
Alex: I’m really into…
Jamie: Thanks. I’ll check the party first and then we can deal with the rest.
Alex: That part is clear. My question is really about the friend.
Jamie: Yes. We normally confirm the friend and then update the sport.
Alex: I want to make sure I’ve got the details right before I continue.
Jamie: Yes, that’s right. Once the neighbourhood is confirmed, there shouldn’t be any other action for you today.
Alex: I’m here because I need help with hablar en un cumpleaños.
Jamie: It depends on the host. If that stays the same, the process is straightforward.
Alex: Okay. I brought the plan too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Jamie: That would be useful. You may not need it now, but it can save time later.
Alex: What have you been up to lately?
Jamie: Sure. The introduction is simpler than it sounds; there are only two things to remember.
Alex: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Jamie: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the guest and any instruction that follows it.
Alex: What brings you here tonight?
Jamie: For a follow-up, keep the music somewhere easy to find.
Alex: One last check: there’s no change to the weekend, right?
Jamie: Yes, the weekend is unchanged. You’re all set.
Alex: Thanks. I’ve written down the main points, so I should be all set.
Jamie: You’re welcome. Have a good day.
“Just to confirm…” y “So, if I understood correctly…” son recursos normales en inglés profesional y cotidiano.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you explain it.
✓ I need you to explain it.
Evitá copiar estructuras del español. En inglés cambian tanto la construcción como el registro de cortesía.
✕ Tell me the party.
✓ Could you tell me about the party, please?
Agregar could y please hace que un pedido de información suene mucho más natural.

No. Elegí primero tres o cuatro expresiones que realmente usarías, practicá el diálogo y después agregá alternativas.
