What would you like me to prioritise?
Could I clarify something before we continue?
Could we go over the details for dar feedback?
From my experience, the main point is…
I’d like to talk about what happened.
I can see how that caused a problem.
I can have that ready by…
I want to make sure I understood correctly.
Could we confirm the exact time and date?
Is there anything else I need to bring or prepare?
Thanks — that was the part I wasn’t sure about.
Who should I contact if I have another question?
Could you walk me through that step?
Diálogo realista
Alex: Hi, I was hoping you could help me with something.
Morgan: No problem. Let’s start with the most important point.
Alex: What would you like me to prioritise?
Morgan: Thanks. I’ll check the expectation first and then we can deal with the rest.
Alex: That part is clear. My question is really about the improvement.
Morgan: Of course. The easiest way to think about it is that the improvement comes before the team.
Alex: Could I check one thing? I don’t want to misunderstand the timing.
Morgan: Exactly. After that, we’ll record the meeting and you’ll receive confirmation.
Alex: Could I clarify something before we continue?
Morgan: It depends on the feedback. If that stays the same, the process is straightforward.
Alex: Okay. I brought the manager too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Morgan: That would be useful. You may not need it now, but it can save time later.
Alex: Could we go over the details for dar feedback?
Morgan: Absolutely. Let’s go through the schedule slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Alex: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Morgan: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the salary and any instruction that follows it.
Alex: From my experience, the main point is…
Morgan: For a follow-up, keep the responsibility somewhere easy to find.
Alex: Okay, I’ll do that. And the experience stays the same, correct?
Morgan: Yes, the experience is unchanged. You’re all set.
Alex: Great, I know what I need to do now. Thanks for your help.
Morgan: No problem at all. Take care.
“Just to confirm…” y “So, if I understood correctly…” son recursos normales en inglés profesional y cotidiano.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you confirm it.
✓ I’d like you to check it.
✕ Tell me the expectation.
✓ Could you tell me about the expectation, please?
