I didn’t quite catch that.
Does that work for you?
Could you say that again, please?

Diálogo realista
Sam: Hello. I have a quick question before we get started.
Taylor: Sure. What would you like to check first?
Sam: I’m calling about…
Taylor: Right. Let’s start with the time, because that usually determines the next step.
Sam: I have that. I’m less certain about the appointment.
Taylor: Sure. In this case, the appointment depends on the routine.
Sam: So, just to confirm, that means there is one more step after this, right?
Taylor: Correct. The neighbour is the final detail we need before moving ahead.
Sam: Would you mind helping me with…?
Taylor: The only thing to watch is the phone call, because that can affect the timing.
Sam: That helps. Should I keep the message available for the next step?
Taylor: Yes. It’s better to have it ready, especially if we need to verify a detail.
Sam: Could we go over the details for hablar de tu rutina?
Taylor: No problem. I’ll explain the plan in plain terms and then you can tell me if anything is unclear.
Sam: Perfect. I’m trying to focus on the key information instead of translating every word.
Taylor: That’s a good approach. Listen for the package, the time or number, and the action you need to take.
Sam: Thanks, I really appreciate it.
Taylor: If anything changes, contact us and mention the address. That will help us find your details quickly.
Sam: Okay, I’ll do that. And the permission stays the same, correct?
Taylor: That’s correct. The permission stays exactly as discussed.
Sam: Great, I know what I need to do now. Thanks for your help.
Taylor: Of course. Good luck with everything.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I want that you check it.
✓ I’d like you to check it.
✕ Tell me the time.
✓ Could you tell me about the time, please?
