Diálogo realista
Alex: Good morning. I’m here to sort out something and I want to make sure I explain it clearly.
Jordan: No problem. Let’s start with the most important point.
Alex: Thanks everyone for your time.
Jordan: Thanks. I’ll check the explanation first and then we can deal with the rest.
Alex: That part is clear. My question is really about the objective.
Jordan: Sure. In this case, the objective depends on the metric.
Alex: I want to make sure I’ve got the details right before I continue.
Jordan: Yes, that’s right. Once the negotiation is confirmed, there shouldn’t be any other action for you today.
Alex: Let’s confirm the action items before we finish.
Jordan: The only thing to watch is the instruction, because that can affect the timing.
Alex: Okay. I brought the meeting too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Jordan: That would be useful. You may not need it now, but it can save time later.
Alex: Could we go over the details for participar en una reunión?
Jordan: Absolutely. Let’s go through the agenda slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Alex: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Jordan: That’s a good approach. Listen for the discussion, the time or number, and the action you need to take.
Alex: Could we agree on the next step?
Jordan: If you need to follow up, refer to the minutes so the next person can see the history.
Alex: Okay, I’ll do that. And the stakeholder stays the same, correct?
Jordan: Yes. Nothing else changes there.
Alex: Great, I know what I need to do now. Thanks for your help.
Jordan: Of course. Good luck with everything.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you explain it.
✓ Could you confirm it for me?
✕ Tell me the explanation.
✓ Could you tell me about the explanation, please?
