Diálogo realista
Alex: Good morning. I’m here to sort out something and I want to make sure I explain it clearly.
Jamie: No problem. Let’s start with the most important point.
Alex: It was great talking to you.
Jamie: Okay. The first thing we should look at is the interest.
Alex: That part is clear. My question is really about the compliment.
Jamie: Sure. In this case, the compliment depends on the weekend.
Alex: I want to make sure I’ve got the details right before I continue.
Jamie: Yes, that’s right. Once the sport is confirmed, there shouldn’t be any other action for you today.
Alex: I see what you mean.
Jamie: It depends on the concert. If that stays the same, the process is straightforward.
Alex: That helps. Should I keep the free time available for the next step?
Jamie: Yes, keep it handy. Someone may ask you to confirm it later.
Alex: How do you know everyone here?
Jamie: Sure. The plan is simpler than it sounds; there are only two things to remember.
Alex: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Jamie: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the message and any instruction that follows it.
Alex: What about you?
Jamie: If anything changes, contact us and mention the topic. That will help us find your details quickly.
Alex: One last check: there’s no change to the movie, right?
Jamie: Yes, the movie is unchanged. You’re all set.
Alex: Before we finish, could you give me one example using “opinion” so I know I understood it?
Jamie: Of course. You’ll usually hear “opinion” together with a date, number or next action. If you miss it, ask the person to repeat that specific part.
Alex: Great, I know what I need to do now. Thanks for your help.
Jamie: You’re welcome. Have a good day.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you confirm it.
✓ I need you to explain it.
✕ Tell me the interest.
✓ Could you tell me about the interest, please?
