Diálogo realista
Alex: Hi. I’m not completely sure what the next step is, so I wanted to check with you.
Morgan: Absolutely. Give me the key details and I’ll see what we can do.
Alex: When can a technician come?
Morgan: Thanks. I’ll check the technician first and then we can deal with the rest.
Alex: I have that. I’m less certain about the repair.
Morgan: Sure. In this case, the repair depends on the message.
Alex: Could I check one thing? I don’t want to misunderstand the timing.
Morgan: Yes, that’s right. Once the appointment is confirmed, there shouldn’t be any other action for you today.
Alex: I’m sorry for the delay.
Morgan: It depends on the arrival time. If that stays the same, the process is straightforward.
Alex: Okay. I brought the update too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Morgan: That would be useful. You may not need it now, but it can save time later.
Alex: I can have that ready by…
Morgan: No problem. I’ll explain the role in plain terms and then you can tell me if anything is unclear.
Alex: Perfect. I’m trying to focus on the key information instead of translating every word.
Morgan: That’s a good approach. Listen for the salary, the time or number, and the action you need to take.
Alex: Is there an outage in my area?
Morgan: If anything changes, contact us and mention the support. That will help us find your details quickly.
Alex: Okay, I’ll do that. And the wait stays the same, correct?
Morgan: Yes. Nothing else changes there.
Alex: Perfect. That answers my questions. Thanks for explaining it so clearly.
Morgan: Of course. Good luck with everything.
“Just to confirm…” y “So, if I understood correctly…” son recursos normales en inglés profesional y cotidiano.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you explain it.
✓ I’d like you to check it.
Evitá copiar estructuras del español. En inglés cambian tanto la construcción como el registro de cortesía.
✕ Tell me the technician.
✓ Could you tell me about the technician, please?
Agregar could y please hace que un pedido de información suene mucho más natural.
