Diálogo realista
Alex: Hi. I’m not completely sure what the next step is, so I wanted to check with you.
Morgan: No problem. Let’s start with the most important point.
Alex: Just to confirm, we’re talking about dar una actualización de proyecto.
Morgan: Thanks. I’ll check the availability first and then we can deal with the rest.
Alex: Okay. Could you explain how the manager works here?
Morgan: Of course. The easiest way to think about it is that the manager comes before the schedule.
Alex: Could I check one thing? I don’t want to misunderstand the timing.
Morgan: Correct. The update is the final detail we need before moving ahead.
Alex: I appreciate the feedback.
Morgan: The only thing to watch is the responsibility, because that can affect the timing.
Alex: Okay. I brought the blocker too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Morgan: That would be useful. You may not need it now, but it can save time later.
Alex: Could we go over the details for dar una actualización de proyecto?
Morgan: No problem. I’ll explain the project in plain terms and then you can tell me if anything is unclear.
Alex: Perfect. I’m trying to focus on the key information instead of translating every word.
Morgan: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the milestone and any instruction that follows it.
Alex: What would you like me to prioritise?
Morgan: If anything changes, contact us and mention the dependency. That will help us find your details quickly.
Alex: One last check: there’s no change to the status, right?
Morgan: That’s correct. The status stays exactly as discussed.
Alex: Great, I know what I need to do now. Thanks for your help.
Morgan: You’re welcome. I’m glad we could sort it out.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I want that you check it.
✓ I need you to explain it.
✕ Tell me the availability.
✓ Could you tell me about the availability, please?
