Diálogo realista
Alex: Hi. I’m not completely sure what the next step is, so I wanted to check with you.
Morgan: Certainly. What information do you already have?
Alex: I appreciate the feedback.
Morgan: Right. Let’s start with the agenda, because that usually determines the next step.
Alex: Okay. Could you explain how the responsibility works here?
Morgan: Sure. In this case, the responsibility depends on the connection.
Alex: I want to make sure I’ve got the details right before I continue.
Morgan: Exactly. After that, we’ll record the call and you’ll receive confirmation.
Alex: Would it be possible to…?
Morgan: The only thing to watch is the feedback, because that can affect the timing.
Alex: That helps. Should I keep the task available for the next step?
Morgan: Yes. It’s better to have it ready, especially if we need to verify a detail.
Alex: That works for me.
Morgan: Absolutely. Let’s go through the microphone slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Alex: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Morgan: Right. In a real conversation, catching the deadline and the next action is usually enough.
Alex: I’ll share my screen in a moment.
Morgan: If anything changes, contact us and mention the time zone. That will help us find your details quickly.
Alex: Okay, I’ll do that. And the role stays the same, correct?
Morgan: Yes. Nothing else changes there.
Alex: Could you also show me where the team appears? I want to recognise it next time.
Morgan: Of course. You’ll usually hear “team” together with a date, number or next action. If you miss it, ask the person to repeat that specific part.
Alex: Thanks. I’ve written down the main points, so I should be all set.
Morgan: Of course. Good luck with everything.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I want that you check it.
✓ I’d like you to check it.
✕ Tell me the agenda.
✓ Could you tell me about the agenda, please?
