Diálogo realista
Alex: Hello. I have a quick question before we get started.
Morgan: Of course. Tell me what’s happening and we’ll take it from there.
Alex: Can everyone hear me clearly?
Morgan: Okay. The first thing we should look at is the camera.
Alex: Okay. Could you explain how the signal works here?
Morgan: Of course. The easiest way to think about it is that the signal comes before the project.
Alex: Could I check one thing? I don’t want to misunderstand the timing.
Morgan: Correct. The screen is the final detail we need before moving ahead.
Alex: I can have that ready by…
Morgan: It depends on the name. If that stays the same, the process is straightforward.
Alex: That helps. Should I keep the manager available for the next step?
Morgan: Yes. It’s better to have it ready, especially if we need to verify a detail.
Alex: What would you like me to prioritise?
Morgan: No problem. I’ll explain the meeting in plain terms and then you can tell me if anything is unclear.
Alex: Thanks. The vocabulary is actually easier when I can connect it to the situation.
Morgan: Right. In a real conversation, catching the call and the next action is usually enough.
Alex: Could we revisit that point?
Morgan: For a follow-up, keep the number somewhere easy to find.
Alex: One last check: there’s no change to the meeting link, right?
Morgan: That’s correct. The meeting link stays exactly as discussed.
Alex: Before we finish, could you give me one example using “message” so I know I understood it?
Morgan: Of course. You’ll usually hear “message” together with a date, number or next action. If you miss it, ask the person to repeat that specific part.
Alex: Great, I know what I need to do now. Thanks for your help.
Morgan: You’re welcome. Have a good day.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you confirm it.
✓ I’d like you to check it.
✕ Tell me the camera.
✓ Could you tell me about the camera, please?
