Diálogo realista
Alex: Hello. I have a quick question before we get started.
Morgan: Sure. What would you like to check first?
Alex: What would be the best next step?
Morgan: Thanks. I’ll check the feedback first and then we can deal with the rest.
Alex: That part is clear. My question is really about the project.
Morgan: Sure. In this case, the project depends on the meeting.
Alex: I want to make sure I’ve got the details right before I continue.
Morgan: Exactly. After that, we’ll record the update and you’ll receive confirmation.
Alex: Just to confirm, we’re talking about hablar con tu jefe.
Morgan: The only thing to watch is the priority, because that can affect the timing.
Alex: That helps. Should I keep the deadline available for the next step?
Morgan: Yes. It’s better to have it ready, especially if we need to verify a detail.
Alex: That works for me.
Morgan: Absolutely. Let’s go through the task slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Alex: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Morgan: Right. In a real conversation, catching the role and the next action is usually enough.
Alex: I want to make sure I understood correctly.
Morgan: For a follow-up, keep the experience somewhere easy to find.
Alex: Okay, I’ll do that. And the salary stays the same, correct?
Morgan: Yes. Nothing else changes there.
Alex: Before we finish, could you give me one example using “availability” so I know I understood it?
Morgan: Yes. Think of “availability” as a keyword that tells you what information the other person needs. Once you hear it, respond with the relevant detail rather than a full explanation.
Alex: Thanks. I’ve written down the main points, so I should be all set.
Morgan: You’re welcome. Have a good day.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I want that you check it.
✓ Could you confirm it for me?
✕ Tell me the feedback.
✓ Could you tell me about the feedback, please?
