Diálogo realista
Traveler: Hello. I’d like to go over a few details, if that’s okay.
Agent: Absolutely. Give me the key details and I’ll see what we can do.
Traveler: Could you tell me where I need to go?
Agent: Right. Let’s start with the arrival, because that usually determines the next step.
Traveler: That part is clear. My question is really about the passport.
Agent: Sure. In this case, the passport depends on the departure.
Traveler: That makes sense. Can I confirm exactly what happens next?
Agent: Correct. The gate is the final detail we need before moving ahead.
Traveler: What are my options?
Agent: That’s a good question. If the check-in desk changes, let us know as soon as possible.
Traveler: That helps. Should I keep the carry-on available for the next step?
Agent: Yes. It’s better to have it ready, especially if we need to verify a detail.
Traveler: Is this the right line for…?
Agent: Absolutely. Let’s go through the counter slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Traveler: Thanks. The vocabulary is actually easier when I can connect it to the situation.
Agent: That’s a good approach. Listen for the luggage, the time or number, and the action you need to take.
Traveler: Could you show me on the map?
Agent: For a follow-up, keep the platform somewhere easy to find.
Traveler: One last check: there’s no change to the reservation, right?
Agent: Yes, the reservation is unchanged. You’re all set.
Traveler: Before we finish, could you give me one example using “connection” so I know I understood it?
Agent: Sure. In this context, “connection” is the detail people usually mention when they confirm the arrangement. You don’t need a long answer; a short confirmation is enough.
Traveler: Thanks. I’ve written down the main points, so I should be all set.
Agent: You’re welcome. I’m glad we could sort it out.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you explain it.
✓ Could you confirm it for me?
Evitá copiar estructuras del español. En inglés cambian tanto la construcción como el registro de cortesía.
✕ Tell me the arrival.
✓ Could you tell me about the arrival, please?
Agregar could y please hace que un pedido de información suene mucho más natural.
