Diálogo realista
Traveler: Good morning. I’m here to sort out something and I want to make sure I explain it clearly.
Agent: Of course. Tell me what’s happening and we’ll take it from there.
Traveler: Thank you for your help.
Agent: Okay. The first thing we should look at is the route.
Traveler: Okay. Could you explain how the counter works here?
Agent: Of course. The easiest way to think about it is that the counter comes before the departure.
Traveler: That makes sense. Can I confirm exactly what happens next?
Agent: Yes, that’s right. Once the passport is confirmed, there shouldn’t be any other action for you today.
Traveler: Is this the right line for…?
Agent: The only thing to watch is the luggage, because that can affect the timing.
Traveler: Okay. I brought the platform too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Agent: Yes, keep it handy. Someone may ask you to confirm it later.
Traveler: Could we go over the details for vuelo demorado?
Agent: Absolutely. Let’s go through the connection slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Traveler: Thanks. The vocabulary is actually easier when I can connect it to the situation.
Agent: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the delay and any instruction that follows it.
Traveler: My booking number is…
Agent: If you need to follow up, refer to the check-in desk so the next person can see the history.
Traveler: Okay, I’ll do that. And the destination stays the same, correct?
Agent: Yes. Nothing else changes there.
Traveler: Perfect. That answers my questions. Thanks for explaining it so clearly.
Agent: Of course. Good luck with everything.
“Just to confirm…” y “So, if I understood correctly…” son recursos normales en inglés profesional y cotidiano.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you confirm it.
✓ I’d like you to check it.
Evitá copiar estructuras del español. En inglés cambian tanto la construcción como el registro de cortesía.
✕ Tell me the route.
✓ Could you tell me about the route, please?
Agregar could y please hace que un pedido de información suene mucho más natural.
