Diálogo realista
Sam: Hi, I was hoping you could help me with something.
Taylor: Absolutely. Give me the key details and I’ll see what we can do.
Sam: I’m moving at the end of the month.
Taylor: Okay. The first thing we should look at is the favour.
Sam: I have that. I’m less certain about the delivery.
Taylor: Yes. We normally confirm the delivery and then update the routine.
Sam: I want to make sure I’ve got the details right before I continue.
Taylor: Yes, that’s right. Once the household is confirmed, there shouldn’t be any other action for you today.
Sam: The package was supposed to arrive today.
Taylor: It depends on the ingredient. If that stays the same, the process is straightforward.
Sam: Okay. I brought the package too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Taylor: Yes. It’s better to have it ready, especially if we need to verify a detail.
Sam: Let me check and get back to you.
Taylor: Absolutely. Let’s go through the maintenance slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Sam: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Taylor: That’s a good approach. Listen for the phone call, the time or number, and the action you need to take.
Sam: I’m sorry, I’m running a little late.
Taylor: If you need to follow up, refer to the repair so the next person can see the history.
Sam: One last check: there’s no change to the box, right?
Taylor: Yes, the box is unchanged. You’re all set.
Sam: That’s much clearer now. I appreciate your time.
Taylor: No problem at all. Take care.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you explain it.
✓ I need you to explain it.
✕ Tell me the favour.
✓ Could you tell me about the favour, please?
