I’ll send a short follow-up after the call.

I’d rather check now than make a mistake later.

Diálogo realista
Alex: Hi. I’m not completely sure what the next step is, so I wanted to check with you.
Jordan: Certainly. What information do you already have?
Alex: I’ll share my screen in a moment.
Jordan: Right. Let’s start with the agenda, because that usually determines the next step.
Alex: I have that. I’m less certain about the microphone.
Jordan: Of course. The easiest way to think about it is that the microphone comes before the metric.
Alex: Could I check one thing? I don’t want to misunderstand the timing.
Jordan: Correct. The objection is the final detail we need before moving ahead.
Alex: Can everyone hear me clearly?
Jordan: The only thing to watch is the meeting link, because that can affect the timing.
Alex: Got it. I also have the screen with me in case you need it.
Jordan: That would be useful. You may not need it now, but it can save time later.
Alex: Just to confirm, we’re talking about conference call.
Jordan: No problem. I’ll explain the action item in plain terms and then you can tell me if anything is unclear.
Alex: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Jordan: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the presentation and any instruction that follows it.
Alex: Thanks everyone for your time.
Jordan: If you need to follow up, refer to the client so the next person can see the history.
Alex: Okay, I’ll do that. And the stakeholder stays the same, correct?
Jordan: Yes. Nothing else changes there.
Alex: Perfect. That answers my questions. Thanks for explaining it so clearly.
Jordan: You’re welcome. I’m glad we could sort it out.
“Just to confirm…” y “So, if I understood correctly…” son recursos normales en inglés profesional y cotidiano.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you explain it.
✓ I need you to explain it.
Evitá copiar estructuras del español. En inglés cambian tanto la construcción como el registro de cortesía.
✕ Tell me the agenda.
✓ Could you tell me about the agenda, please?
Agregar could y please hace que un pedido de información suene mucho más natural.
