Diálogo realista
Patient: Hi. I’m not completely sure what the next step is, so I wanted to check with you.
Staff member: Certainly. What information do you already have?
Patient: I’m here because I need help with pedir un turno médico.
Staff member: Thanks. I’ll check the reception first and then we can deal with the rest.
Patient: That part is clear. My question is really about the clinic.
Staff member: Yes. We normally confirm the clinic and then update the symptom.
Patient: So, just to confirm, that means there is one more step after this, right?
Staff member: Exactly. After that, we’ll record the availability and you’ll receive confirmation.
Patient: I’m here to see the doctor.
Staff member: The only thing to watch is the manager, because that can affect the timing.
Patient: That helps. Should I keep the change available for the next step?
Staff member: Yes, keep it handy. Someone may ask you to confirm it later.
Patient: Let me check the schedule first.
Staff member: Sure. The history is simpler than it sounds; there are only two things to remember.
Patient: Perfect. I’m trying to focus on the key information instead of translating every word.
Staff member: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the colleague and any instruction that follows it.
Patient: What would be the best next step?
Staff member: If anything changes, contact us and mention the referral. That will help us find your details quickly.
Patient: One last check: there’s no change to the waiting room, right?
Staff member: Yes, the waiting room is unchanged. You’re all set.
Patient: Perfect. That answers my questions. Thanks for explaining it so clearly.
Staff member: Of course. Good luck with everything.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I want that you check it.
✓ Could you confirm it for me?
✕ Tell me the reception.
✓ Could you tell me about the reception, please?
