We should do this again sometime.
What about you?

How do you know everyone here?
That sounds interesting.
Just to confirm, we’re talking about despedirte.
I’d like to make the handover as smooth as possible.
Could we confirm the exact time and date?
Would you mind saying that one more time?
I’d rather check now than make a mistake later.
What would you recommend in this situation?
Is there anything else I need to bring or prepare?
Diálogo realista
Alex: Hello. I have a quick question before we get started.
Jamie: No problem. Let’s start with the most important point.
Alex: We should do this again sometime.
Jamie: Thanks. I’ll check the weekend first and then we can deal with the rest.
Alex: I have that. I’m less certain about the notice.
Jamie: Yes. We normally confirm the notice and then update the opinion.
Alex: I want to make sure I’ve got the details right before I continue.
Jamie: Exactly. After that, we’ll record the movie and you’ll receive confirmation.
Alex: What about you?
Jamie: That’s a good question. If the conversation changes, let us know as soon as possible.
Alex: That helps. Should I keep the notice period available for the next step?
Jamie: That would be useful. You may not need it now, but it can save time later.
Alex: I’m afraid I can’t make it.
Jamie: Sure. The story is simpler than it sounds; there are only two things to remember.
Alex: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Jamie: That’s a good approach. Listen for the compliment, the time or number, and the action you need to take.
Alex: I’d love to, thanks.
Jamie: If you need to follow up, refer to the last day so the next person can see the history.
Alex: One last check: there’s no change to the handover, right?
Jamie: Yes, the handover is unchanged. You’re all set.
Alex: Could you also show me where the thanks appears? I want to recognise it next time.
Jamie: Sure. In this context, “thanks” is the detail people usually mention when they confirm the arrangement. You don’t need a long answer; a short confirmation is enough.
Alex: That’s much clearer now. I appreciate your time.
Jamie: You’re welcome. I’m glad we could sort it out.
“Just to confirm…” y “So, if I understood correctly…” son recursos normales en inglés profesional y cotidiano.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you confirm it.
✓ Could you confirm it for me?
Evitá copiar estructuras del español. En inglés cambian tanto la construcción como el registro de cortesía.
✕ Tell me the weekend.
✓ Could you tell me about the weekend, please?
Agregar could y please hace que un pedido de información suene mucho más natural.
