Diálogo realista
Customer: Good morning. I’m here to sort out something and I want to make sure I explain it clearly.
Representative: No problem. Let’s start with the most important point.
Customer: Could we go over the details for contratar internet?
Representative: Right. Let’s start with the technician, because that usually determines the next step.
Customer: I have that. I’m less certain about the service.
Representative: Yes. We normally confirm the service and then update the fee.
Customer: That makes sense. Can I confirm exactly what happens next?
Representative: Correct. The complaint is the final detail we need before moving ahead.
Customer: When should this be resolved?
Representative: It depends on the contract. If that stays the same, the process is straightforward.
Customer: Okay. I brought the support too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Representative: That would be useful. You may not need it now, but it can save time later.
Customer: I’d like to report a problem.
Representative: Absolutely. Let’s go through the document slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Customer: Thanks. The vocabulary is actually easier when I can connect it to the situation.
Representative: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the request and any instruction that follows it.
Customer: When can a technician come?
Representative: If anything changes, contact us and mention the reference number. That will help us find your details quickly.
Customer: Okay, I’ll do that. And the counter stays the same, correct?
Representative: That’s correct. The counter stays exactly as discussed.
Customer: Could you also show me where the connection appears? I want to recognise it next time.
Representative: Yes. Think of “connection” as a keyword that tells you what information the other person needs. Once you hear it, respond with the relevant detail rather than a full explanation.
Customer: That’s much clearer now. I appreciate your time.
Representative: You’re welcome. Have a good day.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I want that you check it.
✓ I need you to explain it.
✕ Tell me the technician.
✓ Could you tell me about the technician, please?
