Diálogo realista
Customer: Hi. I’m not completely sure what the next step is, so I wanted to check with you.
Representative: Certainly. What information do you already have?
Customer: Could you check the status for me?
Representative: Okay. The first thing we should look at is the bill.
Customer: Okay. Could you explain how the service works here?
Representative: Of course. The easiest way to think about it is that the service comes before the appointment.
Customer: So, just to confirm, that means there is one more step after this, right?
Representative: Yes, that’s right. Once the complaint is confirmed, there shouldn’t be any other action for you today.
Customer: What information do you need from me?
Representative: It depends on the document. If that stays the same, the process is straightforward.
Customer: That helps. Should I keep the repair available for the next step?
Representative: Yes, keep it handy. Someone may ask you to confirm it later.
Customer: I’d like to cancel this service.
Representative: Absolutely. Let’s go through the support slowly so you know exactly what it means.
Customer: That’s helpful. I understand the general idea; I just want to avoid missing one important detail.
Representative: Exactly. You don’t need every word. Focus on the contract and any instruction that follows it.
Customer: Could you explain the next step?
Representative: For a follow-up, keep the confirmation somewhere easy to find.
Customer: Before I go, can I confirm the address as well?
Representative: That’s correct. The address stays exactly as discussed.
Customer: Before we finish, could you give me one example using “reference number” so I know I understood it?
Representative: Sure. In this context, “reference number” is the detail people usually mention when they confirm the arrangement. You don’t need a long answer; a short confirmation is enough.
Customer: That’s much clearer now. I appreciate your time.
Representative: You’re welcome. I’m glad we could sort it out.

“Just to confirm…” y “So, if I understood correctly…” son recursos normales en inglés profesional y cotidiano. Sirven para reducir errores, no para demostrar inseguridad.

✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you confirm it.
✓ Could you confirm it for me?
Evitá copiar estructuras del español. En inglés cambian tanto la construcción como el registro de cortesía.
✕ Tell me the bill.
✓ Could you tell me about the bill, please?
