Diálogo realista
Customer: Hi. I’m not completely sure what the next step is, so I wanted to check with you.
Representative: No problem. Let’s start with the most important point.
Customer: I’d like to report a problem.
Representative: Okay. The first thing we should look at is the ATM.
Customer: Okay. Could you explain how the brakes works here?
Representative: Yes. We normally confirm the brakes and then update the engine.
Customer: Let me repeat that back to make sure I understood you correctly.
Representative: Correct. The identification is the final detail we need before moving ahead.
Customer: Is insurance included?
Representative: The only thing to watch is the repair, because that can affect the timing.
Customer: Okay. I brought the fee too, because I wasn’t sure whether it was required.
Representative: Yes. It’s better to have it ready, especially if we need to verify a detail.
Customer: I’m here because I need help with usar un cajero automático.
Representative: No problem. I’ll explain the withdrawal in plain terms and then you can tell me if anything is unclear.
Customer: Perfect. I’m trying to focus on the key information instead of translating every word.
Representative: That’s a good approach. Listen for the support, the time or number, and the action you need to take.
Customer: Thank you for looking into it.
Representative: If you need to follow up, refer to the deposit so the next person can see the history.
Customer: Okay, I’ll do that. And the damage stays the same, correct?
Representative: That’s correct. The damage stays exactly as discussed.
Customer: Excellent. I’ll follow those steps and get back in touch if anything changes.
Representative: No problem at all. Take care.
“Just to confirm…” y “So, if I understood correctly…” son recursos normales en inglés profesional y cotidiano.
✕ I have a doubt about this.
✓ I have a question about this.
“I have a question” es la opción natural para introducir una consulta concreta.
✕ Can you repeat me that?
✓ Could you repeat that, please?
Con repeat, lo natural es usar directamente el objeto: “repeat that” o “say that again”.
✕ I need that you explain it.
✓ I’d like you to check it.
Evitá copiar estructuras del español. En inglés cambian tanto la construcción como el registro de cortesía.
✕ Tell me the ATM.
✓ Could you tell me about the ATM, please?
Agregar could y please hace que un pedido de información suene mucho más natural.
